I will say it right up front: I don't own a smartphone. In fact, my
previous phone was so old the salesman all but did a double-take. The
replacement - a venerable Motorola RAZR that ran me $20.

Even still, I find it rather sad when I see people with older phones
than I have.
Which why I found it amusing that I felt warm and fuzzy when I saw a
guy on the train with an arm-load of LPs.
