See ID?

My father used to write SEE ID on his credit cards instead of signing them, so of course I started to do the same. Almost forgot it was there based on how few people asked and of course gas stations that you pay at the pump can't read it....

I think they only place that asked this year was at Bloomingdale's in SF (whom I thanked) and the Post Office. There I was told they would not accept an unsigned card. So I signed it. In front of him. Who then, rightly, asked to see my ID.
