Just a quick peek at a picture I starred on Flicker: Good Crooks: early character sketches 3
(For the Good Crooks series from Egmont Publishing.) Early in the process of creating the main characters of the Good Crooks series, Billy & Jillian. Just draw, draw, draw until something clicks - and then hopefully the client will dig it. Mostly what you see here was in the final designs for the characters, but the only thing that was changed majorly was their noses. No biggie - simple change! And can I tell ya how fun it was to draw these two? Very.
