Another Blog-Worthy Photo From the Good People on Flickr

Just a quick peek at a picture I starred on Flicker: Road to Saint Francis Retreat

Beautiful oaks line the road to the St. Francis Retreat just outside San Juan Bautista, CA. This was taken on a somewhat foggy morning with a marine layer hanging over the coastal hills. I took a nine-stop bracket and then chose four of those that had a fairly wide range of tones. Each of those was then loaded on to a separate layer in Photoshop CC. I then used layer masks to paint in different portions of each exposure in order to come up with a scene that had a wider dynamic range--essentially a manual HDR. The final step was to run the combined layers through the Glamor Glow filter in nik Color Efex (a trick I picked up from Scott Kelby),
