Patrick Smith: The Airport Security Follies
If you ever enjoyed reading "Ask the Pilot" over at Salon.com, be sure to check out 'Jet Lagged' over at the New York Times.
In this article he confirms what we have all been saying, "...[t]he changes put in place following the September 11th catastrophe have been drastic, and largely of two kinds: those practical and effective, and those irrational, wasteful and pointless."
From the looks of it, he wrote this before the latest crackdown on batteries, although to be fair - the battery issue is less terrorism related and more to general safety. All the same, I am thinking I am glad I kept my PowerBook 100 complete with lead-acid battery!
