As heard last night on To the Best of Our Knowledge, possibly the greatest new website and (another) damn, why didn't I think of that: CASSETTE FROM MY EX.
One thought that impressed me from the tapes made 5(ish) or more years ago: these people had to buy the LPs or borrow their friend's (or work at a radio station) - no iTunes or Napster back then....

Napster was 1999 but you could always borrow your roommates LPs....
