Hey kids - did you know Bush is spending on nuclear weapons equal to what Ronald Reagan spent at the height of the U.S.-Soviet standoff- $6.5 billion on nuclear weapons this year with a request for $6.8 billion more for next year and a total of $30 billion over the following four years?

Coffee, juice and cookies today in the basement here at LSJU. (Heaven knows what else the people who are supposed to attend are also getting). Some big to-do sponsored by Novartis. When you ask why your prescription drugs cost so much this may be one of the reasons.
On a side note: Here's yet another way the Bush administration shows how it has been bought and paid for: "Taxpayers unwittingly paying for Republican National Committee's propaganda."
Remember kids - voting is free and if you can't find a candidate you like, find the one you hate and vote for the guy who could honestly beat him. There is always a viable alternative.

My newest purchase from Cost Plus (World Market) - a Bodum 2 cup French Press Coffee Maker. Takes 4 minutes to turn even fairly generic coffee and hot (from the bottled water) tap water into rather good coffee.
10$ and and it looks kike it'll quickly pay for itself in saved trips to Peet's.
