ereaders mean more readers

If you commute via public transportation (good for you) you will by now have noticed the same two things I have– one: it's getting a lot more crowded on that train / bus/ ferry than it was last year and two: almost everyone is reading some type of screen. Be it smartphone, laptop, tablet or eReader, just about everyone is taking off the headphones and turning their eyes to read.

All these new readers means that a whole bunch of content is needed. So what does that mean for you, the website owner? It means you better have fresh, new, valuable and relevant content for tem. Content that encourages your existing customers to come and revisit often and prompts new visitors to place their first of many orders. How can a small or one-man site try to compete with the corporate juggernauts? With some help from the pros and the type of easy web design that makes it seamless to insert new and exciting content.

140 characters may catch an eye but real, long-form content is what keeps people coming back and when people consider your site a destination, the money will soon follow. Capture their attention and be rewarded.

800 Lb Gorilla To Meet 900 Lb Dragon?

Japan's largest glass maker unveiled a super-tough, scratch resistant
cover for gadgets on Thursday claiming it is six times stronger than
conventional glass.

Calling it "Dragontrail," the product should be poised to grab a chunk
of the surging global market for smart-phones and tablets which is
primarily held at the moment by New York based Corning Inc., maker of
the cleverly named and much-heralded "Gorilla" glass.

It's Godzilla v King Kong all over again.

every day search

Social networking is becoming more and more prevalent, a recent study found that an astonishing percentage of people update their status first thing in the morning, a majourity from bed via smart phone. While I am not sure how sustainable this is, after all, most people want to be entertained and to be honest, most other people aren't all that entertaining.

One aspect of internet life that doesn't seem to be going away is internet search, people will always want questions answered and the like. So how your sites rank amongst the search results will always be important and that's where a reputable and top-tier ppc agency can play a role. Get good results and keep yourself in the top results!

UK Town Blocks Library Closure

In Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, townsfolk spent the week withdrawing their maximum allowance of books in protest against council plans to close it as part of budget cuts. Today they hit their goal: all 16,000 books were withdrawn from the library.

use your friends to find that host

Everyone knows what they want in a good hosting company: Primarily, a world-class 24-hour support with workers standing by to answer your questions when you have them, not just promise to have an 'expert' get back to you, later (if at all). Price is also a majour issue for many, as is up time.

Usually getting all of these three things costs money, but how much is enough to pay for all of them and how much is too much? This is where you need a site for reliable webhostinghub ratings.

Lots of places will be happy to take your money and fail to act on their marketing promises, best to find out what others who have used the services say about a host before you invest your hard-earned money and web reputation with someone who is less than the best. Some research at the start can pay off in the end!

eBooks Chat

Some thoughts on book buying and reading: Currently eBook editions have no re-sale value as far as I know – has anyone tried transferring the rights to one in a legal fashion? Since they are on average 10% cheaper than a hard copy, can I assume that the rest of the costs are all involved in the editing, the promotion and the profit to the authour and publisher?

That being said, I still like my books on paper. Sorry Amazon, unless you were planning on sending me a free Kindle to evaluate, won't be switching soon.

bigger better more effective

You want to look good and you want to stand out, right? Then you need a quality logo. Software has let people do a lot of things on their own for a lot less than hiring a professional but let me ask you this: who do you want to cut your hair for your wedding portrait? Your cousin who owns a pair of scissors and has read a book on how to cut hair or a professional with a history and a talent for making people look good?

Now think how many more people are going to see your logo as compared to your pictures. With me? Still, that doesn't mean that good LogoDesignCompany has to cost the world – you can get great results for quite a low cost if you know where to look.

Remember, there is cheap and there is frugal and nothing is more wasteful than money spent for nothing and second rate is a first-class way to be poor. Spend a little money and get great results and look as good on paper (and the web) as you really are.
